United Kingdom 5 Pence 1990 (3rd Portrait) coin Collectible Vintage Currency Coin

This 1990 5 pence coin has the third portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

In 1990, a new 5p coin was introduced, replacing the original size that had been the same as the shilling coins of the same value that it had in turn replaced. The previous generation 5p coins and any remaining old shilling coins were withdrawn from circulation in 1991. This coin remained in circulation until 2012 when the fourth and final portrait was introduced. This new 2012 coin were changed from cupro-nickel to nickel-plated steel.

This coin will become more scarce now, what with the demise of the late queen of England, and the introduction of the King Charles range.

This coin comes in a plastic bag suitable for storing coins.
